I've had a set of Aerostar springs on my '51 Ford for a couple of years now and love them. I used the OEM shocks on the car (they were almost new then) and they seemed to work fine. Something happened to one of the shocks last week, so I figure that if I am going to get down and fool with shock absorbers I might as well replace them. Thinking there may be a better choice than stocker (ride height is lower), I did a quick search and came up with Monroe5821 as a good choice. Anyone have any thoughts on this or another suggestion?

  3. I installed the same setup on my ‘51Ford Tudor, Aerostar springs with 5821 shocks. Dropped the front end down just enough. Not road tested yet but compression/ rebound feels about right.
