Nunz With Gunz Illustrated- The Sally Field strip issue where Sally breaks down an AK with nothing on but a funny hat. I was the oil boy and you can see part of my arm in a shot. Good times..

not a spread but we made about 12 mags in 98 when we drove our 1935 ford ( black primer ) pickup to all eleven NSRA events in the same year. it was a 28,500 mile jaunt and we were the first pertiscipents to do it. we also had our 1926 t touring on the cover of R and C for americruse in lincoln , red with gipsey plates.

My '49 wayfarer was a semi-finalist for the ego-rama in 04, so we got a picture and little write up in there.

That is the ugliest car on the planet. But a cool shop tour and cars.
    Blake! You won!
My 34 was picked for a shoot in Wizz Mag.

Had my 50 Chevy pickup featured in OSR March 2006 issue. Even had a shot of it on the top right side of the cover. Had my old 55 Chevy in R&C in 1996 thanks to the Americruise trip I took, and it has also been in Hot Rod magazine a few time when I went on the Power Tours.

Haha, my moredoor is sitting next to your el camino, so I guess I was in there too! In the actual magazine, you can see about a quarter of my car, my big claim to fame!

My roadster and trailer are featured in a three minute video displayed in the Digital Storytelling exhibit at the World of Coke in Las Vegas.

They once used the flat black quarter panel of the sport coupe as a background for the text about the truck parked next to me.:D

Several of the "scene magazines" (what else do you call them?) had shots of the roadster last year kickin' up mud. Starting Saturday (July) I get a whole month of exposure in the Magneto calendar.

The ultimate, for me, is being in the current Rodders Journal. A short blurb about the car along with my name.

Yeah, I've been in a few.

I've scanned a few for your viewing pleasure. No comments allowed on my non-HAMB rides.

Streetrodder June '99 page 134 WOW, I remember when that photo came out in the mag, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.....one of my cars in Streetrodder in the Detroit Autorama coverage! Who would have thought.

    Hot Rod Mag Oct 2000
Not only was this photo in the mag, first name correct but they screwed up on the last name, but my correct name was mentioned about a dozen times from pages 76-93 with my car showing up in a number of other group type shots.

The same photo was then used the following month Nov 2000 in HRM with the caption describing how I lost the car in a shop fire.

Was interviewed for Hot Rod TV ifor Power Tour coverage in 2000 and 2001 which aired on Speed and Big Olds was also show in coverage for Power Tour 2002 cruzn down a 2 lane highway.

Southern Rodder Vol #5 Issue #1 page 14. Also May '02 page 10 but I guess I didn't scan that one.

Carguide Oct '02 page 14. Of course of all the photos the photographer took she used the one where both of us are sitting in Liz's bucket instead of one that she took of each of use standing my our rides. She also made me take my hat off after 5 hours of driving in the rain.

Also appeared in the video footage of one of the Nats in L'ville. Actually had the cameraman riding on the hood (before paint) filming us inside Big Olds while we cruised around the fairgrounds. Was alot of fun. I never did purchase that one. Kinda forgot about it.

A fraction of the newspaper clippings. I once had a reporter from SanBerdoo CA riding with me for a day in one of the southern states while on Power Tour. She was nice enough to send me a copy of the newspaper once she returned to CA.

It's a good thing I'm a scrapbooker and keep stuff like this. One day I probley will write a book but I doubt anyone, well except for maybe my HAMB buds, would believe half the crap.

Rodders Digest (3), Street Rodder (3), Rod and Custom, Rod Action, American Rodder (2), Goodguys Gazette (2) - all show shots with nice write-ups, except for being part of a feature on 100 hot rods from the nationals by American Rodder.
Also a video from Goodguys Indy that I wasn't aware of until I saw a commercial for it on pay-per-view cable. (It was the car shown when they mentioned low-buck hot rods...:D )

My old 32 sedan was in a 3 page feature in Rod&Custom in Oct of 2004, and my 56 F-100 panel truck will be out later this summer in Custom Classic Trucks and possibly Sport truck. Later, Rusty.

It's trad but it aint no Hot Rod:

My '50 is not a frame off -gold chainer- wave at the people kinda' car. It's 99% original and a little ratty. I rode in it as a kid , fix'd it for an old timer in the 60's and have had it since they old guy's widder gave it to me @ 30 years ago.

Hemmings - Classic Cars put it in the Jan. '06 issue in the "Drivable Dreams" feature after seeing me hauling new found parts in it at the Rhinebeck NY show last year.

breeder, Ive had some people think it was a V6 that fired twice on the center cylinders!! also heard the hemi thing a time or2, Flatheads are so mis understood, that was the best running, smooth, dependable flathead I have ever owned. I miss the car some, but I miss the engine alot! it was in at least 12 mags in the US and over seas. Take care and hope things are a little better around home for you, Later, Rusty.

i've had the rpu in Cruisin magazine 3X(japanese) and the Cruisin PASO dvd,
as well as another japanese-mag called Lightning 2X(a good spread). It is fun cause alot of japanese guys come by the shop, and it is fun to try to talk to them at shows, they are really into the car scene.

ZAP who you always see at west coast shows is a great photographer and
person, I owe for the Cruisin coverage...

Also a bunch of small shots in burnout, OSR

Its funny, at the RCRR a couple years ago a Street Rodder writer I spoke to
(chris shelton) liked the truck, and said let me know when you finish it we'll
shoot it, so maybe in 10 years or so...

Also got about 6 seconds in the Hot Rod build-off on discovery too.

    That's about it

Well I've never had a car or truck nice enough to be in print, but I have had a few photochop images and articles that I've contributed.
Nov. '03 Classic Trucks, May '05 Custom Rodder, Sept. '05 Rod & Custom, and Oct.'05 Classic Trucks. Damon Lee from Custom Rodder has helped me out alot throughout the different Primedia publications. Can't thank that guy enough!
