Hot Rods Hurst Shifter Rebuild

Hi Guys,
I did a full video on rebuilding a Hurst Compe***ion Plus shifter. Along with the video are links to FREE 3D files that allow you to 3D print your own shifter ***embly fixture tool. Makes rebuilding these fun and fast.

Cool! I have that exact same shifter! Now I know how to refurb the beast.

 

I sure wish I'd been able to watch that video a couple of years ago, when I rebuilt mine Would have saved me a lot of time ***embling, dias***embling, etc.

You mentioned the wave spacers "don't want to cut myself" that show up at 06.00 and again at 06.20 or so. They are SHARP. I almost cut the tip my index finger off while taking the shifter apart and hit the edge of one of those wave spacers coming out.

It was so sharp I didn't know I was cut until the blood was going everywhere. Perhaps a caution on them would be a good idea.
