Check out the cross draw holster, lanyard ring on the butt of his 6 iron, and how high the belt is. 1945, a young man like that may have been in the war if not for his law enforcement job. No doubt, he knew many who went. Great photo.
Good catch, Don. I was checking out the stone chips and nifty tag surround. That cars service record was possibly completely during wartime.
Must have been warm the day of filming. Vent window flipped around on the two tone '57 210 with radio.
Cross draw was to prevent prisoners from getting to the firearm no cages back then and prisoners were transported in the front seat. Same with the high belt it was like that for the many hours spent behind the wheel too low and "things" dug into your back.
