At the risk of getting gator bites i will post an editorial comment which i have not done for years on here.
I just took a look at the Hot Rod Network photos of the Florida Hot Rod Turkey Run and was in awe of the incredible bad taste in building of the selection of most of these cars. It looks like a resurection of cars from 3 decades ago. Big Boyd style billet wheels with shiny backers. Cut out flame hoods (more than one) bad trim selections and the shineyest of paint with bad combos and colors. Nothing wrong with shiny but men please get it right. Overdone to the point of nausea. Tell me really what is going on down there??? Wow. Frankly i liked the MQQNEYES Japan cars and coverage much better.

The Daytona show is open to a wide variety of vehicles. So are their owners free to choose what they want to own and how their cars look. Were you excluded?

  4. Must be bad pictures that were posted. I was there and saw some really nice and well built hot rods and stock rides from the 30's thru the 60's. Really can't judge by what other chose to post.

People come from all over the country to that show, not just what's happening in Fla.
I don't like a lot of the trends either, but it's not just here

You have to remember that in the greater automotive hobby, we are an extremely small minority. And on top of that, people with taste is an even smaller minority. In everything, not just cars.
