This is one of the very best. It contains a lot of original thought, it is oriented to budget builders, and it contains all needed shop manual info as well. The new edeition contains some new material and is in a durable lay-flat binding too. You need it. Bruce

I've got this book and it was very insightful, there seems to be a lot of myth's and misunderstandings about a very cool engine. Ron's book has tons of info that even a flathead rookie can understand. Thanks for posting the info here on the HAMB for some who may not frequent the www.fordbarn.com on a daily basis. When I had my 39 and was fooling with some issues on the stock engine Ron answered several questions that I had over on that site.

I can always use another flathead book! Does it include info about tuning as well as building the flathead? At this point, I'm most concerned with keeping my flatty running it's best.

Tuning and building and rebuilding...this book is awesome. I scored one direct from Ron about 4 years ago, he even signed it and included a "secret recipe".

Plus Ron's a great guy, he will email you info that ain't even in the book!!
