We moved the stock steering box forward on Ranchero gasser a friend built. Everything cleared then...

I thought about that today too. #8 port is right inline with the box. Just a few inches forward would free up a lot of space. What year Ranchero, what headers?

Do you own a torch ? Then gas weld your headers. Do you own a mig ? then mig weld your headers.
You are not building a model car or a lego set. My first set of headers I built in 1965 were torch welded.
I can't tell you how many since then. These headers for a small block Ford were mig welded together.
My old Falcon had Doug's chassis headers, but the motor was set back about 8 inches. DSCF3468.JPG 2013-10-10 11.56.48 (1).jpg 2013-10-10 12.33.01.jpg
