I have an old house (falling down) built in 1859 on my farm. We are salvaging lumber and such from it. This is a door knob from the house. We even salvaged enough Walnut lumber to build all the cabinets in my son's new house. IMG_0524.JPG

My latest bakelite and coin shift knob is coming together. Took about 4 years to track down 3 of these 1926 Sanitarium coins.
SANITARIUM Home For The Incurables. An interesting piece of history.

This is the shift knob in my Model A pu. I bought this 1 ball at an estate sale because I liked the cracked and crazed surface. When I got home I drilled a 1/2" hole into it, epoxied 2 back to back nuts of the appropriate thread into it and installed it the next day. Interesting thing was it has a cork center and the colors are all co-molded into the ball.

  18. I made 2 of these shift knobs, sold one and still have this one. The bottle is removable/usable/replaceable.
It's a Texas thing, even though the juice is from Louisiana, which is a suburb of East Texas. :p Tabasco.JPG

  21. Mine's a Hurst three-speed knob I found used. Had a time tracking one down. I've actually got it on a 5-speed but folks do ask questions.
