Motors have to be "Pre-64 style" i.e. '74 SBC is cool cause they made them in the 50's - '65-'66 Nailheads cool cause they made Nails in the 50's

Are BBC's cool? - not made in the 50's, Disc Braked Straight Axles?

I just may have to take a LONG road trip to see what all the fuss is about

Oh yeah.... I forgot about that one... didn't he have sort of a sidekick car with him? How about a big fiberglass tittie? Would you let it in?

Now I understand what you mean by "art cars".... i was tryin' to figure out what the hell you meant!

Sorry I was wondering if that was an "assumed rule" I didn't ask the question correctly.

Without any doubt, the best show of last year for me! (and I've been to a shit-load of shows!)

I will be there too... But one question, Why did you move the date? Was there something pre-booked on the regular weekend? And after last years freeze-fest, I can't imagine moving it much later in the month. (Snow!)

It used to line up so nicely with that swap meet one town over. We have found some great deals there for the last two years and it has become part of our weekend plans. But I guess not this year.

Yeah it is. The second weekend falls numerically later this year, that's all. Just bundle up. The past 4 years the weather has been: cold, cold and rain, warm/almost hot, cold... I'm thinking we are due for warm with rain. But since this is the Midwest, you could get sunburn and snowed on in the same day...

I always try to get at least one surf band and one garage band... but everyone always asks for more rockabilly!

Yep, it's always the 2nd Saturday in October. The first year we did it, the weather was pleasantly warm, but turned to cold rain by the afternoon. The next 2 years were sunny and in the 70s. Last year it was in the 50s and 60s and overcast. It's a crap shoot. Wear a t-shirt and bring a jacket. Make sure your heater works and your windows roll down. :D

Ok, thanks. Just post what you find out. Who is the 'host' hotel? Or better yet, who has rooms left? Thanks for changing the date too, I usually miss it because of Hershey! :D

Holiday Inn and Days Inn both have some rooms left as of Monday morning. Not sure on the others.

It's a drag it's not the same day as the Lion's Club show/swap meet, but blame them for not having it on the second Saturday like they usually do! ;)

we didn't change the date. It's always the 2nd Saturday in October.

All the hotel info is on the website, but there are a few other smaller hotels not listed. You might have better luck calling the hotel's 800 number instead of calling the local hotel directly. Sometimes you can get discounts through Travelocity, etc. There is no "host hotel". We had to stop organizing that due to some "problems" with some people in 2004.

NOBODY Can bitch about the cold weather except TomH and his buddy Weed. They drove a fricken ROADSTER through 5 inches of snow to go on to travel almost 800 miles to attend. Thats tits!

  29. any more bands needed? might know of a psychobilly type from milwaukee that would just love to play...

Got my room booked, (Super 8, over at Ottawa again) and I get first dibs on the second bar stool at the Fools bar on Friday night. Yep, glad the heater worked last year in the 40, but I'm going to come back again in the 32 "HellRaiser" this year, same one as 2004 and 2003.
