Just got this ‘40 coupe from Daddy Ray, and want it to end up low in the back, teardrop skirts, spotlights, wide whites on front with flipper caps. Paint will be champagne gold with a white firewall.
    Picture isn’t the best but.......
    Thanks! Mike[IMG]

  2. It's too bad that you can't do a double, or even fourple, like on something.

8-tracks tapes! Now, that's outside the box...I'd love to see what you're drivin'! :D

(Incidentally, my last 8-track purchase was Donavan's "Sunshine Superman", w/Jimmie Page and John Paul Jones...One of the greatest albums ever! ;))

My first car with a factory 8 track tape player was a '70 SS Chevelle when I was in the Navy-mid '70s. Its amazing how easy it was to jam up while playing music but then watch how much tape will pull out of the 8 track case when you throw that malfunctioning piece of shit out the window at 70 mph. I'm sure many older HAMBers remember seeing ribbons of tape rolling with the wind on the side of the road in the late '60s, '70s and '80s.
As for Jimmie Page and John Paul Jones playing on Donovan's "Sunshine Superman", Wow! I've heard the song for decades and never knew they played on it. Definitely going to listen to the music closer next time I hear it. Donovan and Led Zeppelin were so far apart in their respective genres back then.

Another H.A.M.B. member's thread asks for bumper ideas for his fenderless roadster. Most of the responders have been focusing on nerf bars, but I'm wondering what a narrowed '32 bumper might look like in that application.

This isn't the OP's car, but I was hoping one of you could use these images to give him some inspiration. I included some source images for bumpers (which may need to be flipped. Feel free to find better ones.

I'm not sure how tight the bumper should be tucked. Use your best artistic judgement.

    Thanks, in advance! 05-2016-americas-most-beautiful-roadster-1932-ford-hollenbeck-CJV9686.jpeg 02-2016-americas-most-beautiful-roadster-1932-ford-hollenbeck-CJV9678.jpeg zeMGzUjUYs.jpeg 99ik4OUhOj.jpeg 1932-ford-3-window.jpeg

  29. Here's a narrowed 68 Camaro rear bumper. Keeps things clean looking.
