any idea of their rarity or age. Any idea the worth of one in excellent condition with three restored large 97s on them with linkage.

Any old cast iron 3x2 for an SBC is $$$!!! Search 3x2 on EPay for a few days and see what you're lookin' at. I'm setting up a 3x2 on my SBC, and I'm going aluminum. For a pre-87 small block, they're about $250. If it's a Vortec(Edelbrock #5417), it'll run ya $300 from Jegs or Summit. Speedway has an Offy for the 2GC setup, if you're lookin' for a more nostalgic look.

I've seen Weiand single intake for a 2 barrel type carb. either taped for 4 bolt or 3 bolt carb. And this was cast iron. Maybe it was one of these converted?

Guys, I think he's confusing a 348 intake with a small block. In the 25 plus years I've been chasing speed equipment, I've never even seen a picture of an aftermarket multicarb intake for ANYTHING that was made of cast iron.

That was my thought too except that the 348 used 4 bolt Rochesters.:D I'll believe it when I see it.

I was thinking that maybe someone redrilled a 348 intake for three bolt carbs. God knows I've seen stranger modifications in my day. The only cast iron speed equipment I've ever seen, not counting exhaust related items, is a pair of Kogel heads for a flathead.

Then why ask what it is worth.
If you don't plan on selling then it shouldn't matter anyway.

The reason I asked is because I just bought it. I received the intake today and the guy made a mistake, it is alum. It is a weiand c536.

this thread is all about what's wrong with Ebay and the amateurs who shop there - "guy was wrong"....bet that gets said a LOT!!!! I don't think I'd buy anything from a dehorn that couldn't tell the difference between aluminum and cast iron - no matter HOW cheap it was.

"how did the FOOL and his MONEY get together in the FIRST place?"
