Ted...bought the "real beer"...genuine Bud lite...in Texas.......after I got your call.....will try and hold em off till noon at least.....The Road Rockets eh?......got any decals?......will trade......hang one on our ole red Ford......I know, it's slow...but puts on a good show...will bring the wheelie bars...set it on soft and see if the track will hold it enough to drag the bumper once......beer is on me.

I just couldn't wait. Had to post a pic. I'm not sure if the nose will stay or not. I built it Sunday. I just wanted to see if I could do it. It didn't turn out too bad, but I'm just not sure if it;s right for this car.

Here's another shoot. We decided this little trailer won't do the job for the trip to Tulsa. Better take the Top Fuel unit.

Hey guys, just got home from T-town and checking out the site. The races were a ball today, weather was great, if a bit warmish, the Rossauto Willys did OK, and the HAMBsters were fabulous!! Can't wait until 8/26!!!

...well I'll be go ta hell, Sam...that was YOU off my 4 o'clock watchin' me rejet those Strombergs! I was so engrossed in what I was doin', that, I remember talkin' to you, but I couldn't tell you what we were talkin' about and I had no clue I was talkin' to you! Why didn't you SAY sumthin'? I wanted to see your Chevy II...The Dirty's (Danny and Danielle) came up for the day and stopped by to say hi, and wouldn't you know it, I had to tow the car to the startin' line...I lost track of them too...:(

...these guys were kickin' some major *** untill a head gasket went away...still, they won $50 off me for fastest speed...:D they will be serious contenders at MoKan...Ramrods made it to the semi-finals, and lost to the Hornets due to a faulty ignition...:(

What a day at the strip it was! It was great to finally meet the guys from all the teams that I have been conversing with on here. Best bunch of guys I have meet in a long time. Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement...I look forward to the day when Rodan will be able to join the line of HA/GRs.

In hindsight, I should have gone to Tulsa this weekend instead of being loyal to my local track. I"m still full of HA/GR envy, but can't seem to get off my rump and do something about it.

The HA/GR's were a kick in the *** to see gettin' it on.
Unfortunately,as a ride share hostage,I had to leave early and didn't get to see the end of the deal.:(
Maybe Mr.Mac or someone could post the elimination rounds #'s and or the final results.:D
I do think it would be safe to say that a good time was had by all the teams.
The buzz around the Hornets is more carbs are in the works.
The Ram Rods are sneaking up on their tune up."By God";)
The Crooked 6 sounds *****in' with all those long tubes hangin' off the motor and with a bit more practical experience and some seat time, will absolutely be a contender real soon.:)
To me,the Speed Merchants were definitely the story of the day though. With a little more tinkering I think that new motor is really gonna haul ***.
Oh and what's all this about CH3N2O,Tolulene,Hydrazine,Etc.?
