anyone out there have an idea what new in the box front and rear bumpers with new brackets are worth, as well as front and rear fiberglass fenders. Thanks
I'm assuming that they are aftermarket... since you are mentioning glass fenders, right? They aren't NOS are they?
Go to Bob Drake and find the price of the bumpers and brackets. Polyform has the best fiberglass fenders so look there. Frank
Bobby, envision this, if you will. You walk into a private party in a garage. You might know some people, you might even have said hello to some, but 98% of the people in the place don't know you. They're havin' a good ol' time bench racing and shooting the shit. You walk up, tap a stranger on the shoulder and say, "how much is a fender worth?"... he's probably going to snap a "smart ass" comment back at ya. Or, he might ask you some questions in return, like, are you buying or selling? are you about to try to sell me something? What are you planning to do with said fender? etc. etc. It's all cool, man. What you don't realize is that 10 minutes before you walked into the party to ask honest questions and make some friends, some asshole came in and tried to pull a scam, or tried to sell snake oil, or just generally acted like an asshole, so people have their guard up. So. Say something along the lines of, "I've got a line on (whatever parts), don't want to get my ass handed to me, can you guys let me know if I'm getting a deal or getting chumped?" and then all these lovely and handsome HAMBers will step up, take you under their wing and be more than happy to help out a fellow rodder in need. Diplomacy, man. It's what's for breakfast. Welcome to the HAMB.
Agreed. Poliform makes great fiberglass. Wescott is good, too, but a little more expensive. Drake has some of the best bumpers and brackets. I've used their repop stainless bumpers and polished stainless brackets on two '34s and have been very happy with them. Drake's pricing: Stainless bumpers: $300 each Stainless brackets, front: $250 Plain steel brackets, front: $95 Stainless brackets, rear, shortened: $155 Plain steel brackets, rear, shortened: $65 http://bobdrake.com/ Poli-form's pricing: Front fenders: $285 each Rear fenders: $205 each http://www.poli-form.com/index.html Chris
You might be a little too sensitive... In the old days you would have had your ass handed to you, just for not doing an Intro... Furtunately thats no longer the case. But your first Thread was a open invitation for some jokes, because you forgot to add info necessary to answer your question, and mis identified a build style. And you were the only one on that thread that was calling people names, before I deleted it. That is Drama, and we dont need it... Welcome to the HAMB. Edit. Correction... You did do a intro. The rest still applies
