I like Pat,and have been following him on line for a couple of months.Sad that all the magazines died.For me it was the end of clever how to do it articles to be replaced with articles that were no more than a ad for one of the vendors.Lose of readers comes down to young guys not wanting to learn the trades,turning wrenches,welding,painting.Easier to buy a Honda,and pay a shop to screw up the exhaust to your liking.

I was surprised to read that Pat has had little response to his blog. If nothing else we should support his effort.

It takes time and effort to scan the old pictures and write up a thoughtful story. No doubt he has the knowledge and years of assembling hot rod and custom history. I am grateful he has offered to share it with us. With all the conversation about the future of our interests it is really up to us to make sure it doesn't disappear.

 

Pat is one of the last of the true rod and custom journalists!
I have followed his writing in most of the titles he mentioned, and I'm a proud owner of his Hot Rod Video #1!
I have signed up for his "online" magazine, and enjoyed the 1st "issue".
I feel his frustration and understand where he is coming from.
All the best to you Pat, hope to see many more "issues".
By the way, he mentioned Roddders Journal, Please consider a subscription, it is well worth the money!
