What color should I paint this chopped Hudson body?

    Except I just noticed that the top on your model is chopped. Not so on the Marshall Teague car.

    Custom Hudson instead.
    In that case, be creative.

  5. i'd vote for deep gloss black, so if it is hard to make out the subtle chop. sounds simple but would look smooth. maybe some very decent yellow decals, stripes or decals.

  9. My uncle's Hudson was wine/burgundy. That is stuck in my head and seems like the right color.

    Back in the early 60's, my father had one just like it. I actually took my driver's test in it & I tapped the metal guard rail in the tight turn-around test. I mean, that was like trying to maneuver a submarine in an underwater cave. Anyway, he took it to a friend that he worked with at Mack trucks & told him to paint it blue. Right, the guy painted it green. What can you expect for $15?

    Yes dad said you could get a nice car in the 50s for 50 bucks!He got a 41 Plymouth coupe for that and drove it for 3 years!
