Hot Rods 40 Ford pick front shocks

The front tube shocks on my truck were mounted directly to the axle on the bottom. I’m sure there must be a better way to do it. I have been on the internet all afternoon trying to find out how other people have don’t it but I end up getting pictures of mustang II IFS suspension.
I’m new to this board and don’t know how to post pictures yet or I would.

I put the shock mount end of the shackle on the wishbone on my '35.

 

I bought a bolt on kit from Back Order Bob for the front of my '39 p/u. Simple install and the price wasn't bad IIRC. He actually had them is stock on his Black Friday sale several years ago and with free shipping. Haven't had much luck with any other orders being in stock but that's a different story.
