I'm watching tonight, they cut away to a 57 with a dumbass patina wrap on it, the whole time a chopped moredoor full Kustom Merc goes across the block, you get to see all about 3 secs of it, like it never happened. When that 57 goes across the block, I'll have to hear the same stupid story about a god awful car wrap again, I'm sure.

Get use to it. I think it's the new fad. A lot cheaper then a paint job.

Yep, had to hear the patina wrap story again. Good thing I could look at the pic I snapped of this sweet Merc.

I think it's more that since I own a Merc and you don't see very many come across the block is the problem for me.

You're right! Would have made a better story than car wraps. That made it even worse . Sold for $36,000

    Nice Merc.

Why is that dude playing air guitar in the middle of a car auction?

  14. not much cheaper, you still need to do all the bodywork and really even have a smooth simple base coat on the car to get the wrap to look decent. A buddy with a 59 el camino though about doing a wrap unitl the local shop quoted him $5k to fully wrap it.

5k to wrap a car that still needs to be straight and ready before it goes on. Then dont expect it to last much more than about 5 years in the sun before it fades and peeling it off is a bitch. Or, you could just man up and put on a paint job that lasts 20 years plus.
