Sorry, I didn't mean to leave that out, it's from a 66-77 Ford bronco.

  2. No worries, I have an F1 box for my future A project but am still in planning/parts gathering and like to consider all my options. I'm enjoying your build, carry on!

It's worth noting the bronco box turns the other way than the F1 box. That's the reason I am planning on the pitman arm pointing up.

Been over a year since you asked this question. No one has responded and I can only provide exactly what you are asking about as applied to the rear and splayed. A Panhard bar was used and mounted with the left shock to the axle.. IMGP5657.JPG IMGP5699.JPG IMGP5688.JPG

Oh good timing, I am just about to start on the rear suspension next. I was planning on parallel leafs but I feel like that's a bit of a cop out.

It's been a while and progress has been slow, but I can finally say I have a frame!
    IMG_20170914_191000167_HDR.jpg

I started with some 4inch box split down the middle to make 2x4 channel. I had some 1/8 steel cut to form the rear kickup over the axle.

I welded that to the 2x4 channel and added a fish plate over the seam.

Then because I couldn't resist, I laid the frame over the engine to see how it will all look. Note the frame is not actually in place, just haphazerdly set somewhere near the pile of parts I am calling a speedster.

Also, I made a seat... well halfway done at the moment.

  8. Any more progress on this build? Just found this thread and this thing is sweet. I just got done putting quarter ellipticals on my car and am looking at friction shock mounting options.

In the time between my last post and now I have; built a shop behind my house, bought and sold about 20k lbs of machine shop equipment, started a business, and had my first child. It's safe to say life got in the way of this build. Not to say I won't be getting back to it, just not very soon.
