My nephew just moved into town to go to school and he needs an econo car to get back and forth. I'm trying to convince him that a little falcon with a 6cyl would be the perfect blend of economy and pimp'onomy.

Help me make a difference in a kids life. Show me some inspriartional photos. LaGrasta... Rick Racer...others?

You can make a differnce and it won't even cost you 15 cents a day.

i dig that Weezner painting so much it's making it real hard to choose between a pristine '62 comet...or a pristine '60 falcon...(wel that and a 2grand price difference)

i'm really thinking all these little early 60's cars are going to get cooler and cooler ,considering the times...and now's definatly the time to grab one up cheap..

    Here's a picture of mine.
It's been lowered, louvered, flamed, lakes, & a 6 banger.
    Maybe it'll help......maybe not......

The early Novas came with a 194 straight 6, or a 153 straight 4 engine, though I've never seen one that still has the I-4. Good econo cars.

On a hotel computer so no pics, but what's wrong with something like my '64 Fairlane 2dr HT. Nosed and decked, '92 Ford electric red, maroon cloth bench seat guts, '99 15" Mustang wheels, original 289 C4. Unless this kid's really riced out, how could he not like it.

Cant bring myself to swap my 200-3 spd for a 302-c6 (that are ready to bolt in) with fuel prices climbing. I drove it to Bakesfield a few years back and got 23 mpg. Super easy to work on too!

Pontiac Tempest, Buick Skylark and Olds F-85 were all the same
car with minor sheet metal changes, and they came with 4 cyl engines
    too.

Wish my '61 4 door was done for pictures of it. It's going to be like the orange one above, but this color where the orange is:

  24. Hey Merc63, I thought I'd let you know I bailed from TFFN too. After your fiasco, it pissed me off. I asked some simple question about why you had to leave and the Nazi that's runs the place went crazy. Who needs that shit? Not me.

    Dave's got issues. Serious ones.

Funny thing is, he acted like *I* started it, when in the thread in question some OTHER person was discussing the known small mindedness of the Falcon organization. Then I made a tongue in cheek reference in ONE sentence to the Lexus engine in my Comet should go into my Falcon instead, and he locked the thread and acted like his world was going to come apart as if everyone would start talking about those kinds of engines. So I gave him a PM about being a closed minded ass, and that I wasn't the first to mention it (considering the Comet clubs had been shunned by the Falcon groups).

He thinks it was about not being able to "discuss lexus engines in his Falcon forum." I'm putting one in my Comet. The fact that he couldn't handle a single mention of it in one sentence of one thread was only the last straw.

He deserved the nasty PM he got.

Life's too short to put up with closed-minded BS in this hobby. It's supposed to be abouthaving fun, not proving to others how anal you can be. Of course, Mike Schnur had to put in his own 2 cents about something he knows nothing about...
