    Hello
Wondering if anyone can help me with this , I am looking to see what the correct way for the intake /exhaust manifold bolts on to the 153 engine ( it came out of a 62 Chevy 2 ) the previous owner had a mix of nuts and washers ( that arent correct as the washers are all warped ) did it use the acorn type clamps ? ( i have searched the internet but cannot seem to get a close up of the mounting of the manifold on this particular engine ) a photo would be great but any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Mine had studs with an oblong hollow washer ( about 3/32" thick) that caught both port runners. That's the best I can describe it.

    Looked like this:

The 153 was essentially a 230 six minus two cylinders, and used the same hardware. The longer 'washers' went to the two outer ports and used longer studs; the two smaller ones (four of them on the sixes) went to the middle ports with shorter studs. Tons of sixes out there still - you should be able to rob a set off one. Screenshot_20200126-185136_Firefox%20Focus.jpeg
