  2. Try contacting Richard Lacy at earlyv8@aol.com (mail), (626) 338-2282. Relative to your comment on the '40 pedal ***embly, I believe most guys use the '39 due to the location of the clutch lever (I still recommend contacting Richard Lacy).

I'd say find a complete 39 Ford brake and clutch pedal ***embly. Other than opening the hole in the crossmember a little, it's basically a bolt-in.

A 40 ***embly is different and would need you to change the clutch throwout shaft. Lots more work.

Are you sure you want to take a step down in reliability like that? Brakes are important, after all.

If you manage to find the 39 pedal ***embly you will also need the clutch actuating arm (shiny black in the picture) if your using the stock 36 transmission. Reproductions are available, but if you have a chance to get it too, grab it. I wish I would have been told this before I converted, so I'm p***ing the info on now.

Here is another picture of my installation in case someone needs more for reference.

Scribe, why do you need a 39 transmission arm? Is the 36 too short?

Yeah i would modify your existing pedal. I've done a few that way. And used a master cylinder from a slightly off topic 68 Ford F100 with drum brakes. 7:1 ratio on your brake pedal.
