I’m running dual original 81s on my Model A. After running for a minute fuel will suddenly start coming out of the accelerator pump hole! The inlet valve seems good and i dry set the float level, what might cause this?
Like Alchemy ask? More then 3 PSI can over come float, add to that if motor vibs are high{out of balance a little} it can bounce float too
^^^Yup been down this road, I messed with the 97's on my roadster a lot. Couldn't get them to quit randomly overflowing. Installed a holley regulator and enjoyed a whole summer of leak-free motoring. I'm ***uming you're not gravity fed from the cowl tank...
Thanks all for the replies! I'm running a Holley low-pressure regulator right now, its supposed to be set at 2.5psi out of the box but I'm not gonna trust a piece of paper so I ordered a pressure gauge today to see if I can eliminate the issue
