Looking for a steering wheel collar for a F1 steering column. I bought a nice Grant steering wheel but I need a collar to match the bottom of the steering wheel post cover. The top of the collar needs to be 4" and the bottom 1.5" if I can`t find one, i`ll need to find a steering wheel that will fit right on. The F1 steering wheel is a last resort. Anyone out there used an aftermarket wheel other than the F1? I`am open to any suggestions.

Someone mentioned this just a few days back. What was it? The bottom of a stainless mug? Dog water dish?

I made one using a hub dust cap. Just find one that measures right, trim off the lip and drill a hole for the column. Super easy. And $0

I think that thread suggested a modified drink cup. Easily found in a lot of sizes and shapes at thrift stores and yard sales. Just write the measurements you need down and pack a tape measure along.
You might have to make a ring to slip over the column to hold the top in place but that shouldn't be hard. Even those metal water bottles that you see everywhere and like the cups sell for under a buck most of the time at thrift stores might be a possibility.

I used a measuring cup to make the transition, worked well and was cheap.

I have made them from the stainless measuring cups also , I have used a heavy gauge funnel also . Look at things you use everyday , there are lots of choices .

drove my truck with the adapter showing for a while . never looked good. ended up I took a horn ****on drilled a center hole for the shaft and 3 holes for the wheel mounting. put on before the wheel & bolted down covers up the ugly adapter still looks like the stock column. sorry about the quality of the picture no lights where it is stored 0207200751b.jpg
