Help this okie

I am looking for the basic rules for this class I am intrested in building a car to compete in next years events and would love some advise on how to get started. thanks in advance for any tips.

Sorry I did not clarify myself I am wanting to build a H.A.M.B. dragster. Like the ones I watched go down the track in Tulsa Oklahoma on july first all I know from the race is that they must have a flat head motot or a pre 1964 six cylinder with a stock rear end and trans.
