I am in need of a set of Industrial Chassis K-Member extensions for a stock floor '32 sedan. Their website no longer lists parts for sale. I have attempted to contact someone on the website with no luck. I see some talk on the website of them no longer selling parts. Does anyone have any info on the company? Anyone holding a K-Member extension they want to sell? Here is a link to their website: http://www.industrialchassisinc.com/ Thanks all!
https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/industrial-chassis-inc.615096/ There is a phone number on this page that may short circuit trying to find whats up on theinternet.
No parts for sale links anymore and no recent website updates. Maybe Industrial Chassis is no more. That would be too bad, Steve did (does) nice work.
Boy, that comes as a shock. Steve does great work, made excellent parts and generally had a healthy number of vehicles in his shop getting work done. Maybe he has just taken a well earned break.
From Steve's site: "I discontinued the kits first of August. I am actually winding down my mail order product and going to do private builds only. I will be offering the entire product line up for sale at some point. "
Yep, I believe that was in reply to my asking about the Dakota crossmember For AD trucks. I didn't order one when should have and when I got ready for it including having the donor front end parts he decided that he doesn't want to do the mail order pieces anymore.
Big Deuce, That K-member looks fantastic. Nice fab skills! Mr48chev, I'm in the same boat....I've wanted the k-member legs for awhile, but procrastinated on buying them.....now they're gone. Not the first time I've done that, you'd think I would learn...
Damn shame, I got a kit for a Dakota in my F100 and they are great value. It seems funny that he has changed his game plan as he had a really good set up and some nice equipment in that shop of his. The body guy that worked with him seemed to be very skilled also.
he didn't say he was getting out of the business of building things.......only the business of making mail order kits/components. He said he is going to concentrate on 'private' builds.
True but a steady steam of the same item puts money in the bank every week. I'll admit that I stalled around too long before ordering the crossmember primarily because I wasn't ready to install it and I didn't want it sitting around rusting while I got ready to install it. I'm only out 75 bucks for the suspension pieces I got off the donor after I sold some parts and the hulk but it may take a while to sell them.
Really a shame, I used the K-member legs and they fit like a glove. I hope somebody else will pick up the product line and continue on with them.
This product would seem to fit well with the Chassis Engineering / Heidts chassis product line. How do we get that to happen? Phil
I will let ElPolako know what is going on here and see if he will post all the info on what is going on with Industrial Chassis or if he wants me todo it for him. I will not post what is going on till I speak to him, I do not want to speak out of turn.
Steve is selling stuff off on Ebay as tractort . Wish I waited, I could have saved some on my last purchase. Ron
