craigslist is real hit or miss since they started charging for car ads.
    auto trader online, hemmings, etc...
word of mouth... go to swap meets, car shows, cruise-ins and let people know you are looking for a project

You are looking for everyone's dream. I appears to me that once the project car reaches the internet it is priced at least twice what it is worth. The best place to find them is networking your friends and people at car events, cruise nights, swap meets, ect.
Yes you may find one on here or Marketplace or CL. You need to look often and message quickly, and have cash in hand. Another thing to do with those ads is keep[ the number on things that you couldn't come to terms on. Call that guy a month later, A lot of cars are still there. The price sometimes comes down. One of my friends used to call a year later. That is when he made his best deals.

Craigslist. Search "Projects" under cars and trucks for sale. You can also search by year of manufacture to find specific year/model cars. Don't forget that many cars are mis-catagorized and mis-identified when they are listed by the owners. Look in the wrong places as well as the right places. Lots of gems hiding in plain sight on Craigslist.

It depends on what you're looking for. If you want a popular car, you probably want to stay away from projects that are advertised as projects, because they usually end up being badly started, and they turned into perpetual projects for that reason.

Word of mouth is a good way, but requires a wide network of friends, and good luck.

I've bought some oddball stuff on CL by being ready to buy when it comes up for sale. I prefer to find unmolested originals, so things won't be screwed up too bad, but they are few and far between these days. The more complete and original, the more I'll be inclined to buy.

But without knowing what kind of car you're looking for, we'd be guessing with our suggestions.

Will sell without engine, trans as since it’s rebuilt I can use it with a new project down the road . It comes with nice Model T rear fenders and real nice front Model A front fenders. All is subject to what which package you want .

  10. I never had much luck with craigslist. it works like a champ for my brother, though. FB marketplace, i thought would be a bust, until i started to sell on it. Now everyone thinks i'm "rich" , because there's always bold red SOLD by the listing shortly thereafter. A few weeks ago, i found an early 29 tudor (ford) with only 42xxx miles on it. Only an hour north of me

Go into google and do a search on "All of Craigslist" You will get a list of search engines. I pick the first one that works the way I like. Go to that search engine and type in what your looking for. It will do a search of all the various Craigslist ads. For FB marketplace you can change the city/location your searching in to open up the area of your search.
