I'm not a fan, but you could try "balancing beads". A lot of guys swear by 'em.

You might try and find a shop that still has a strobe balancer (truck shop?) if they still even exist. Or get an old front brake drum and bolt it to the wheel so it can be mounted on the machine.

I'm a fan of the beads, used them for years in my Dad's Peterbuilt's. We changed tires ourselves and tossed a pack in.

Pack we had were for 10.00-22.5's, I guessing for a automobile tire they would have a different/smaller pack?

Not sure how the beads work or where to get them. Any more information would be helpful. Thank you

  6. Call around tire shops and local car clubs to find someone that can balance the tires on the car. Be sure to put the rims back on the same each time.

I've used Counter Act balancing beads for years. They work great and are cheaper than Dyna Beads. You can get them on ebay or from this website https://www.counteractbalancing.com/
Just follow the chart on how much to add.

I run W5 wheels on my hot rod and had the same problem. I solved it with one of these. Just swap it to each wheel for balancing.
Well ****. The pic didn't post. There's enough info there to find it if you're interested.

Any shops in your area that work on early Volkswagens?
