I saw a set of chevy 348 heads on craigslist this morning. Curious if they have the same bolt pattern as a 350?
    Thanks,

  3. Totally different engine design between the 348/409 and the SBC

  4. Nope not the same as a small block. They are most likely cracked anyhow.

Like others have said, they are totally different than the small block. In addition, they are flat with no combustion chamber. The combustion chamber was cast into the block.

As the others said completely different engine. Stay away from the 1958 348 heads as they have no cooling passages.

  7. The early 348 heads that had the cooling issue were part number 3732791.
