Anybody have any good, cool pics of custom'ed 50's trucks? Post 54 would be real cool, But ANYTHING is cooler than nothing... Thanks!
ben's 56 runs a small block with a t10 four speed, pontiac rear end with 4.10 posi, its pretty fast, just ask low-n-loud.
heres a picture of it before we put the dropped axle in, looked a little gay cause it was way high in the front, i think some people thought he was from florida when he drove it to vegas. dropped axle was installed the next weekend.
Here is a shot of a truck I really like, I snapped this pic at the Mooneyes show 2 years back. Von Doc
Ricky- Thanks! How long did it take putting in the dropped axle? How much of a ***** was it? Doc- I've seen that truck before (but not in person) I dig it! Thanks!
the dropped axle was kind of a pain the way we did it, but it was cheaper than a mor-drop. what we did was used a dropped tube axle from mas. we had to make mounting plates for it, also had to used 54 chevy p***enger car spindles and brakes. if you have the money i would go with the cen-tech machined axles. they look pretty nice.
another pic. wish i had some pictures of the back end now in its current state. looks pretty good, has chevy rear bumper with 53 buick tailights.
That truck was in a movie about road rage maybe(?) in my "driver's education cl***". Seems I've had so many speeding tickets that my lawyer can't get the points booted unless I attend a cl*** (yes, tractors can go that ****ing fast ) Useless info, just thought I'd share. Saw it right after Signal 54. That was some nasty footage.
[ QUOTE ] how about he HAD it built so he coud try to get A chick ???????? [/ QUOTE ] harsh donnie. kinda funny though. Theres more info on the rear end here sandys truck
if i knew how to post pics, i would post one of mine and chopmercs 56 ford pick-up..it has a full flip nose, a stroked 307 chevy, smooth tailgate, roll pan with 58 chevy tail lights, and pontiac bucket seats. its pretty cool, it was origianlly built basically stock back in the late 70's early 80's by my father and uncle. it was driven til about 89, then garaged till my uncle gave it to me and my brother last summer.
this is pre-54, but weeds here on the hamb built it several years ago. this picture was from the frog follies a couple of years after he sold it. when he had it the wheels were different and the background of the lights and grill wasn't painted black. i liked it better before he sold it.
Ya know, I was poking around on the net and I came across a few pics too, Does anyone have more pics of THIS truck?
That blue F100 got to be my favorite F-100 ever, -and I say that with a dozen fifties kustom F-100s floating around in my head. This is one:
Quite simple style, but I like it just the way it is. Seen at the Street Magazine Wheels Nationals in August 2002...
