Happy July 4th all. I thought Id let ya all know, Im still above the dirt and should be home just a few weeks the HAMB drags. Yeah I miss it by a couple stinking weeks. AHhhh!! Have a few cold ones for me if you would and hug your kids for me. This is a holiday that has taken a whole new meaning to me after being here during the Iraqi begining to form there own goverment. I often wonder what it was back in our begining as a country. Its been mostly under a 120 F this week, and with the exception of a few bit of unexploded ordinance being found, it had been quite. Now the terrorists are picking it up with carbombs since Zakowie bought it. Abu Grav is being shut down and the prisoners are getting put in a new prison right next door to us. This of course makes us a bigger target now. Oh well.. Life goes on and we are two months out. I suppose that after seeing what we get for news on Iraq is mostly if not always negative what you all get can't be much better. I thought Id share this link with you so you can read about what my Brigade has done while weve been here the last 10 months. www.dvidshub.net or www.fortcambellcourier.com for 101st ABN Div news Anyway I basically just wanted to say thanks for all the support Ive gotten from the HAMB. I got a few care packages before and after I got here. Thanks! Please if you sent me something PM me so I can thank you personally. I couldnt always keep the addresses do to safety concerns. Richie saved me from certain death due to boredom with he sent me drivers for my laptop after it crashed, not to mention the copies of Rodders Journal and music he sent. The Cranktones and The Spurs ROCK BTW. For those of you who sent music when I asked, I thank you dearly. All my tunes were lost when I crashed the laptop. I was lucky enough to have had the cds and still have my kinda tunes. Thanks for the magazines you guys sent. Those have been p***ed around and are dog eared as most of the Maxim and FHM mags around here. And if you were planning on sending me something please dont, Ill be home soon. You can just wait cause Im guessing Ill be in Afghanistan in a about a year. BenDs wife Missy is to be commended for keeping a smile on not only my face but that of many of my fellow soldiers with the letters and stuff her 4th grade cl*** sent us. Thanks Missy! Its meant a lot to me personally as well. Ill be sending a photo slideshow for the kids as soon as we get back home. I want to see if I can get as many pictures in it as possible. Earl Sheib I owe you a tour of the Fort Cambell when I get back so Ill PM ya once Im back to set that up with you and any other HAMBers that wanna go and we can burn some burgers and kill some brews together. I thought Id close this with a look at just a few of the faces that are over here with me.
Happy fourth to you bro. Ill thrown down a couple for ya. I see you have a couple of cute gals to keep you company. Not so bad. We will all be praying for your safe return.
Yeah.....stay safe and get back home to the U.S. where a slightly smaller amount of the civilian community is nuts.
Thank you for everything!! Your service is more than appreciated, and we'll be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers long after your return!
Hey man, if it wasn't for you and the rest of the soldiers over there as well as all the soldiers in the past, we wouldn't have hot rods to **** around with, we wouldn't be ********ting on the HAMB right now and we wouldn't be celebrating the 4th tomorrow so just know your service is MORE than appreciated. Keep it up man and God bless you and everyone else there.

Thanks for keepin' us safe and please p*** the word along to all your brothers and sisters over there to have a happy and safe 4th.
Zeke, I raise a cold one to ya, and all the guys over there...and thank you for your service...too many people in this country think that the "bad guys" stay in their own countries and cause havoc and wouldn't ever bring their radical interpretation of their laws over here, you and I both know that ain't the way it is...I appreciate what you guys are doing. R-
Thanks for the update from Iraq Zeke. I just talked to a young woman in the Marines who is headed that way. Good luck to you all!
Happy 230th birthday America. Thank You to all the brave men and women that are keeping freedom alive, you guys are in our prayers! Come home safe!
Hey Zeke!! Glad to see your cooking hasn't gotten to the troops yet! I think YOUR pinups are far ***ier then mine. Happy 4th!!
Happy 4th Brother and stay safe. Our local guard unit just got home all in one piece. Still have many brothers and sisters pulling rotation duty with the Seabees. It was hard to retire after 26 yrs, will never work with a better group.
Happy 4th Zeke! Now get home, visit and see the Cranktones live! Actually, if your heading back out we should make some kind of plan to get together..... Oh! and I STILL hate that your there in the first place....but thanks.
Thank You for the freedom to be anything I want to be, even an ***hole. Both of my parents served many years ago so I do have great respect for the brave people that suit up in the name of freedom
