I was able to roll mine outside this weekend. There's still a long way to go but I'm getting there....

LOL, yea, that straight 8 makes it long. I still need to cut off the frame rails at the rear. I just haven't decided how much yet.

Yea, I'm wondering about that, I hope not too much. I've never done this before so I'm learning as I go. I recently acquired a Model TT frame, if all goes horribly wrong I could start over with that frame.

  12. I really like the longer bed on many of the recently posted trucks. I especially like this one - nice job, @joegio!

Slowly working on it. Will run fenderless this year to dial in suspension, brakes, etc. Eventually will be fully fendered.

Some background: My dad passed two years ago, he restored antiques throughout his life. Even had one of his project Cadillacs in the Macy’s thanksgiving parade. Anyway, my brother is restoring the original ‘34 roadster and I pulled the RPU home. Pops gave it the “modern” hot rod treatment in ‘86 with a IFS and 70 mustang running gear but never finished it. So, it won’t be H.A.M.B. friendly but I’m keeping with his vision. She will be a driver. :)

One suggestion, It looks like the front wheel is a few inches too far back and does not meet the fender well. No matter what else you do it will never look right if the curve of the tire and the curve of the fender don't match. It would look better if the wheel was further in there too.
What a beautiful body! Let us see how this goes. Take pictures that don't feature the Non-HAMB aspects.

Thanks for the tips. The fenders and boards are 2 bolt finger tight for this pic, but I agree 100%. He worked a 34 hood to fit the 33 grill that’s been straightened, so there’s probably a few hundred hours of finesse work ahead of me to line everything up 100%.
