The Harley Estes Willys coupe is driven on the street today in Joplin, Mo. I have worked on this car in the past. If you have been to the HAMB Drags you have probably seen it. Today it is red and it says "Suicide Ride" on the doors.

 

My Dad picked up my buddy and I by this sign at 10 pm sharp on many Saturday nights in those days. Sometimes the races weren’t quite over and it was torture to walk out to the gate while cars were still going down the track! (I still feel that way)
