56 Ford engine swap

    haha those mounts do look like they would do the trick.

    I mocked up some wood blocks last night and think that I can shim the engine up to the top bolt hole by machining out a 1/2 inch plate that will go between the mounts and the engine block. I'll design it to have 3 grab locations for the block as well instead of just the two. Seems like it should work right?
     
  3. You got the wrong mounts. a 55 and 56 mount has two studs on it. I pictured a really old 153.JPG 154.JPG 155.JPG 156.JPG original 56 mount for ya.

  5. Yes that's the correct mount. you can also make a 1/4 inch spacer to fit between the block and mounts and raise the engine a bit.
