I want to put AC in my 56 and would like to go with a serpentine pulley set up on my 351W because it is a cleaner look. Unfortunately, the set up I like I can't run a mechanical fuel pump.
My 351w is stroked to a 427 and I'm running a carb. I need a minimum of 50 gph pump. I really don't want to go with an in the tank fuel pump yet.

I know this has been ask before, but I wanted some current reviews.

What electric fuel pump would you guys recommend? I'd like it to be somewhat quiet but mostly reliable since I drive to allot of shows.

I have used a Carter P4070 on my 53F100 for several years with out a problem. Also used one on a previous car. Very pleased with the product. I believe they flow 72GPH. I had used some others previously with several failures then a friend turned me on to the Carter.
Are you going with a factory serpentine or aftermarket?

I see many have been having good luck with the carter so I think that is the way I'm going to go.

I was looking aftermarket. Either the Vintage Air Front Runner or the Billet Specialties. They are not cheap so I may investigate the factory set up. I have a CVF 2 belt pulley set up on the motor now which I like and it would be reasonable to just buy the brackets for the AC compressor but it sets up off of the motor and looks ugly.

    Thanks for the input.

I have the factory 302 serpentine setup on both my 53F100 and my 55 Sunliner, pleased with them.

I use the carter - and be sure to use rubber isolator mounts and you wont even hear it!

https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/does-anybody-make-a-quiet-elec-fuel-pump.440703/page-3 (I used the Carter P4594) This thread has some ways to quiet the pumps.

I will probably need the carter P4594 since my carb needs around 6.5 psi.

    Thanks for the replys.
