Well, finally back home from Back to the 50's. 9 day trip. I left for BTT50's wed with my 3 daughters and stayed in the Dells overnight. Chicago is one messed up city to drive through. Got to the MN fairgrounds and met a lot of people. Kind of neat to travel far from home and see almost 12,000 cars that we never have seen before! Cool show and awesome fairgrounds. Hooked up with Bleed and Tuck, also made new friends especially ***us (Ruler) Would have liked to hang around more but my kids are too young and I didn't want to slow you guys down! Swap meed was OK.....I don't like the feeding frenzy that seemed to take place. A sellers meet for sure. Did score a spare coil for the Lazy 8 though. The kids were wiped out after the swapmeet so we headed north to Thief River Falls MN to stay with an old Air Force buddy. Dug up some field cars while up there.

The first car is a 28-9 sport coupe that someone made a pick up out of. That fit in the back of the truck. The next body is what I believe to be a 30 Chrysler suicide 3 window coupe body. Let me know if you think differently. That fit in the trailer. Next is a 30-31 cowl. Trailer too. Lastly was this 27 T coupe. I cut it in half to fit it in. Just dont get many T bodies by us! I also got some headlights and a moped (Motobecan?) All that and still room for the Lazy 8! Left Mn on thursday mourning and decided to drive straight though. Got stuck in ****in Chicago but made it home 4:30 am. 1,123 miles one way! Had a great time and will be ready to go again to Goodguys Columbus this comming weekend!

I agree, plus I didnt want my kids slowing you crazy ****ers down! I am gonna try for the pile up this year. You pick up that A yet? I was curious on how it looked. One of these days you need to school me on how to take a boat across so I dont have to drive through chicago......

Same here, I expected a stand up guy from Tucks descriptions but you exceeded that. My kids will definatly remember you.....I built the three window on the drive home in my head. Too bad I have way too many projects already. Will have to hook up again in the future. Hey, you know Ohio is in the middle of MN and the east coast!

Johnnyxcliche, I dont know about that, these cars are pretty hammered. For those that are interested this guy has more stuff.....Got your attention now eh. He has a 32 dump truck, a pickup, 3 to 5 sedans, several fat fendered bodies, a killer 31 Willys 2dr sedan, a 4 door Dodge and a couple 50s cars too. He is in Thief River Falls and goes by the name Gator. He is not cheap.... Great meeting you at the hamb greet, get rid of Chicago and I am there!!!

    Hey Don try this link.

I did it for the Billetproof thingy last year and it is slicker than snot on a doorknob. A bit expensive but the avoidance of Chicago is worth it.

    See you at the Hunnert?

    Hey Curator-

Every respectable AMC collector should have an Es*** in their stable. I can see it now- Grant Rebel, Funnycar ch***is, and Es*** body!! S-***!!!

I dont know for sure but your 27 T cowl doors looks really close to a 26-7 Dodge cowl that I have. Sure its a bucket? And That is an Es***.

  30. Yep....I'm sure it is a coupe of 26-27 Ford vintage....I helped unload the back half that someone used a hacksaw to cut into 2 pieces so that it would fit in the truck:D :D Not that it real difficult to seperate those cars, or for that matter put them back together.:p

    The Es*** is REAL SOLID!

The Sport Coupe needs to go back to being a sport coupe IMHO. Done in a 40's approach...flathead, wire wheels and a lacquer paint job.
