I have almost fine she'd the fenders on my 34. What is good coating to put on the bottom side to prevent stars from stones. I have used a bedliner coating before. I have been looking at durabek smooth liner. Any input or opinions on best option.

I use bed liner coating. That seems to do a good job

I have a 37 Chevy that had quite a few fender stars (steel fenders)and when I blew it apart for a repaint last year the bed liner that I applied 10 years before still let about 4 or 5 stars a fender happen. So I brushed on a uniform coat of quality seam sealer about 1/8 inch it dries hard and I applied a thin coat of bed liner over it to make it look tidy
On the rear fender you just apply a band of seam sealer that is in line with the rear tires - the front can flick rocks all over the place with the wheels turning- so more on the front fenders.
Those rocks come flying up at tremendous velocity - you ever have good sling-shot wen you where a kid. Something like that.
