Just curious if anyone has used or will be using 1930s Chevrolet Twilite Headlamp for their Ford hot rod project. I have the opportunity to pick up a matching pair for my project and just wondering if anyone else has used them on their projects.

Depends on if you drive at night & want to see or are you following the current trends toward weird old lights because they're weird ...

You can also get TWILITE lenses without the Chevrolet name on them.

I used a pair from a 1932 Chevy on my Model A (a long time ago). I found them to be much brighter or better focused that the Ford headlights.

Where can you get those lenses? I have one good original one and the other is broken.

Here are the pair. I did find another lens but not the same.

Also picked up some cool STOP gl*** lens too for brake lights.

if you look closely at the edge of the gl***, where the rim would hold it down, usually there is fine print giving the size of the lens. many, many options between aftermarket from the period and different makes that used that brand of light. next, go to a swap meet, or ebay, or the headlight guy...axlerod? i think, google headlight lenses. i might have some myself if you know what you got

There are several DIY gl*** polishing kits available using cerium oxide powder and felt polishing wheels. The one I used I had great results with. Picked it up cheap from the e place. Eastwood has a polishing kit available, as well as several other sources. Good luck!

@Justin Cuffe you end up running these? I have a pair, but have realized they mount differently thank the ford bullet style.

Nope, hot rods need hot rod headlights like Arrow, Dietz, or King Bee.
