Thanks EMD567 for the Nash pickup pic. I thought they were all built as wreckers for the Nash dealerships to use as service trucks. I looked at a white one for sale in Tacoma in 80s and would have bought but wrecker bed was gone. I should have bought it, big regret. 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
I hope this is the right place to post this.. For many years I have taken pictures of old cars and trucks in fields, gullies, wrecking yards etc. I have hundreds. In the late 1980's I was able to visit a long closed salvage and scrap yard in Lone Oak, Texas owned by Hubert Dodd. He was elderly and lived like a hermit. I could buy anything out of there but you did not argue price. Stuff was cheap enough, but there were literally tons of cars, parts, and cut up metal. I took a lot of pictures. Finally he passed away and in 1990 everything was auctioned off. These are pictures of just some of the cars and trucks there, some of the stuff I rescued (limited funds) and finally what happened to the rest, Made me sick to see but I thought it important to get a record of it. And I have another set of pictures of a similar situation at a yard in west Dallas in the 1990's.
