Hot Rods Anyone build their own top for a roadster

    I need a to make a top for my 1929 roadster pickup, I would love to see what anyone here has done. I am no professional so I want to see the average guys work not ones done at a shop.

  5. I built one for my coupster using an AH Sprite top bows, boat bimini top material, paper paterns and the wife's sewing machine. Flaps like hell, but kept the wind off my neck. Now that I've added tops to the doors for wind up windows, I've got to stretch the bows out to match (designed to come apart in the middle for storage)the top door edge then find more material. Perfect? NO, but no one makes a removable top for a coupster or, couldn't afford it if they did.
