Did you buy this car from Dan in Slate Hill?

That’s a valid question. The answer is a little long.

I may be unconventional in some of my methods. I follow a formula I came up with 30 years ago. I try not to use materials, components, or techniques that were not available before 1950. I don’t powder coat. I rarely bead blast. I have a great TIG setup but don’t use it on this type build. I don’t sub out to machine shops. I don’t have things chromed. I don’t use a plasma cutter. I guess rather than a “traditional” build mine is more of “the ultra orthodox” type.

A guy or gal probably had access to a torch and arc welder. Drills, bits, taps, and dies could be found. The body, frame, frontend, engine, and transmission I’m using all fit the formula. I’ll use a 1960 Rambler American rear diff because of it’s width (55”) because I can use spacer/6 hole adapters and come out to 58”. That’s the Buick’s original tread. BIG bonus, I have a spare Rambler rear end sitting in the yard here lol.

No, I bought it west of Phoenix. I think it originally came from Young, AZ.
