Hey J, That is just a cl***ic from the archives. We probably saw that on the big screen back in the old neighborhood movie theater days, just a short walk from our Westside Long Beach house. I am sure everyone at one time or another had the short temper feelings while driving or being a p***enger. It does not matter if one is driving a hot rod or station wagon. Other crazy drivers would make any action towards the hot rod build a little more tense, but coping and driving defensively is the key. When our son drove us 35 miles up and 35 miles back to/from our granddaughter's soccer match, it was freeway, toll roads and surface streets. We were a little behind the time schedule for the start of the match. Plus, it did not help that the 91 Freeway was bumper to bumper. He was talking and trying to drive, while our granddaughter and I sat in the back doing word games or matching cars in the other lanes. Then the cuss words started flying and the driving was in and out of the lanes. At one time, we had to just say it was not worth it and so what if we are late? That calmed him down a little and we arrived safely. Sometimes, a friendly chat and a nice lunch is all that is necessary. The drive home was so much better. Jnaki Our granddaughter and I were giving each other the "high eyebrow" look at every incident. For a pre-teen, she was as sharp as a tack.
Sadly the better half and I had to go out for something Sunday, in a 10 mile drive with almost no cars on the road we saw 2 accidents, one serious. I sometimes think the lessening of traffic means people think they don't have to pay attention.
