Technical Another heater hose question

is it possible to use the 48 flathead truck water pump with the heater hose outlet on the 48 car flathead which does not have that outlet?

 

'48 trucks had 8ba's (8rt) and '48 cars were 59 series. Pumps are different. I believe you can buy a fitting for a heater outlet that installs in the radiator hose.

 

Thanks for the info, I installed the hose fitting looking for something a little better, I think I might drill and tap an outlet like one of my previous responses
