I've got a 1953 Pontiac pair of kingpins I'm installing for a guy. He ordered a kit online but the size is completely different. What came out of the car is a .796 approx 5 3/8 length. What the kit has is .860 aprox 5 3/4 long. With .925 bushings. He said he checked again an that was what the kit was suppose to be for. Do any of you have any ideas what the front end might be out of because it seems way to much to ream.
I can get some tomorrow. Theyre at work. Everything looks like a regular kingpin. But way different in size double checked measurements and exactly .796 everything online says 8.60 is what the car is suppose to have. The guy just brought the spindles to me, just don't want to ream them put and him have problems when he wants to install them and pin w OK nt go through
Figured it out went to his house it was a 50 plymouth. He has a 53 Pontiac also and got confused. Thanks
