    Two separate things I remember reading years ago about custom cars... early ones, anyway.

    That the removal of much of the original trim allows the lines and shapes of the body to speak for themselves.

    And...

    Something along the lines of...
    That many beautifully smooth customs might likely remind one of a half-used bar of soap.

    That gold Ford epitomizes this.
