With a heavy heart I am offering my barn find hot rod 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk for sale. Bought this car 3 years ago from a local guy that owned it since the early 60s. In the late 60s, he made the following modifications: converted the automatic on the tree to a four speed on the floor. He also changed the bench seat to black buckets from a Hawk GT. I paid two separate people to fully mechanically restore the car. The original supercharged 289 cu in engine has been rebuilt and runs very strong. All lights work except the backup lights. New tires and can supply a detailed list of all restoration to interested buyers. I like the barn find look of the original colors (black/white) and this car certainly draws a crowd anywhere I take it. Brakes stop nice and straight and car runs straight and true down the interstate. If you like patina on a rare desirable car, I challenge you to find something better. I have a clear ***le. No brokers or dealers, please. Car is garage kept and I can supply interior photos to anyone that needs them. Radio does not work. Have the original hubcaps as shown in the photos. David 301 302 9634
bump price lowered to 17,500 I should add that the car was in the AACA museum at Hershey during their 'Garage Finds' exhibit AND the car was in Hemmings Cl***ic Cars 'Barn Finds' edition. Again, I have many receipts for the mechanical restoration. I am selling only because I cannot justify two 'toys' (recently bought a 65 GTO). This car draws a crowd everywhere I take it...make it yours!
