If you have a 28-29 Ford that is FULL FENDERED and has a nice looking rake what is the distance street to the front & rear running board brackets? Got a bare frame no axles, just wondering what those dimensions will be. Thanks. Bob

Thanks! That gives me something to work with, want to set the ch***is on blocks or jack stands, looks a bit low with just one inch clearance.;) Bob

Something I do to save my shins is slide and tape a piece of radiator hose over the ends of the brackets.

It has a lot more than 1" of clearance. Those measurements are under the running board brackets. Lowest part on the car is under the middle of the front axle at 4 1/4". Nothing hangs belo6the running boards.

Good tip, but they will be shelf brackets for the life of the project.:) Bob
