I'll be there. I'd like to meet some of you gearheads. You say BBq shack in the swap meet area? When?Dave
We will be there Thursday thru Sunday also. Hope to meet some of you guys at the meet when it is arranged.
I live 45 minutes away from the fairgrounds (takes longer to get in than to get there ) May be at swap meet with a few cranks While you're in the area you might check out this place: Rineyville Sandblasting Model A Ford Museum 179 Arvel Wise Lane Elizabethtown, KY 42701 502-862-4671 He's got some rare versions, mostly unrestored, plus a few pieces laying around he might part with. I'll put some good driving directions together if anyone's interested. Bardstown is about an hour away from the fairgrounds (15 minutes from here) and it's got several Bourbon-related things. Let me know if there's anything else a local feller can help with!
Roadstar and I will be there per usual. There is usually a Friday and Saturday meet and greet at noonish at the RRT BBQ trailer which is usually located along the wooden split rail fence that runs along the east side of the exhibit building out toward the swap meet area. We've had some huge attendance in the past and have done some great group shots. We'll do the same this year as well if everyone agrees. Also, if anyone is interested, there are TWO large s****books with lots of past L'Ville meet and greet photos that is usually on the little picnic table that BobK brings (or on a chair) under one of the canopys next to the BBQ trailer. Please feel free to look through it that weekend.
Gotta be the best fried fish around. Sit outdoors under some big trees, cold beer, big helpings of great fish. I'm getting hungry just tellling you guys about it! (it's about 15 minutes from the fairgrounds, too!)
i'll be ther thurs thru sunday..look forward to meeting some of you, and maybe seein gators truck in person..lol
I'll be there on Thurs till Sat Morn. Get a little burned out after 2 days of the High-Techers....... S****s
been thinking of attending, never been there, just not sure if I am up for the drive and extreme heat I hear about (or full on flooding).. Is it really worth a full days drive..
Let me think... 10,000+ rods in one location? Maybe. Granted, there's a lot of billet, but there's a lot of everything else too. I'm going this year to hit up some vender's for some price breaks on some parts I need. That makes it worth it sometimes. Who knows, maybe that cowcathcer rod will be there too! Vance
I'll be there starting Thursday. Driving wife's late model. Bummer!!!! My dad's taking his 32 Five window. Black, stock height, full fendered, torq-thrusts. Kansas plates "32FORD". Looking forward to seeing some HAMBers at the BBQ shack.
YES ... As disverse as your automotive taste is ... you would have a great time ... Lots of variety ... from HiTech Smoothies to ugly junk mobiles ... and everything in between ... all pre 49 based ... Lots of folks complain, ***** and moan about it ... but a lot of folks just complain, ***** and moan about everything ... The fact of the matter is ... It will be HOT ... It's the largest car show event in the world ... Most everyone who is anyone ( manufacturers and such ) ... will be there ... Boones ... it is like Nats South Knoxville times 4 ... 4 times the cars as Knoxville ... and 4 times the FUN ...
Regarding the heat, the last couple of years it has not been unbearable. In fact, I believe two years ago it was down right comfortable with very pleasent temps. One thing you can always count on though is at least one very strong rainstorm at some point over the 4 day period. It's OK though cuz it leads to some very cool photo opportunities. BobK standing on a tabletop so he didn't drown Roadstar just hanging out Roadstar deciding whether to join Bob on the table

Boones, A one day drive to see over 10,000 cars and tons of exhibitors, how could you p*** it up. We've driven from Tucson, AZ to St. Paul twice, and Oklahoma City and Louisville once each for the Nationals, as well as travelled by air several times, and it has always been worth it. Hell, if it wasn't 3,600 miles round trip, I'd attempt to make it every couple of years. Ryan
I'll be there in from Wednesday - Sunday. Less than one week, I'm so pumped. We'll be staying at the hotel across the street. Stop in and say hi, we have a tendency not to leave that 2 square mile area for 5 days! I'll post pics of cars I'll be in later. PS- Boones- didn't you just buy some fenders in wooster? if you come to the nats I can probably bring them down to you! A little more incentive to come (as if anyone would need any...)
