Wow! That’s all I can say in the mid 60’s gas was around 30-35 cents per gallon, would have gas wars and it would drop below a quarter a gallon for a short time period

I remember being a kid in 1962 and riding my bicycle about 2 miles to Pine Ridge grocery with a gallon gas can and paying 22 cent per gallon. HRP

Neither is having to wear a bandanna/mask every time you leave the house...unless you consider train robbery to be traditional. :)

Actually it’s the other way around. We have a surplus of supply.

  13. Gas and oil company's get no sympathy from Me. I remember the fake gas shortage in the 1970,s. I remember the $4.00 a gallon gas robbery a few years ago. If they are hurting its Just Desserts.

If my math is correct ( probably not) in NZ we pay a US equivalent of US$4.40 for a smaller US gallon , the US gallon is 3.75 litres. So that’s NZ$7.30 for a US size gallon . Or at NZ$1.95 litre is NZ$9.75 for a kiwi sized gallon . Of which approx half is tax.

  19. I like the norm, I’d rather be paying what I was a month ago and going when and where I want!

    Stay safe.

Yesterday afternoon 87 regular was $1.15/gal cash or card. They prefer the card so no human contact. I can play that game!

It really does not matter the price of gas here. We are getting very close to a police state. You can now be pulled over, questioned and fined if you are suspected of not driving for an essential (groceries, pharm, work etc). Mostly warnings so far.
Sure be happy when this is over!

  26. Per day, the USA consumed 391.71 million gallons of gasoline in 2017, and went through 166.47 million gallons of total distillates (diesel, jet fuel, kerosene, home heating oil) in a day in 2017. Per-person, that's 0.392 gallons of total distillates and 1.197 gallons of gasoline per day.

  28. Saudi Arabia is having a gas war with Russia is the biggest reason for the price drop which was shortly before the quarenteen mandates. Our Wisconsin gas prices are .94 cents a gallon...!
