409 with carbs set up as GM designed it. Two outboard carbs with proper bases with no circuits. Easy to tune the centre carb when set up proper. Awesome throttle response and pulls hard when you put your foot in it. Motor dynoed at 375hp Truck block with small port heads so not gonna make the 400 plus hp a dual quad setup will make but plenty of power for a model A coupe.

Y-not be different. 5-6 years only tuned once and checked twice with a Uni-syn. Mileage about the same a original. BAA0C25E-B3B3-4B4A-98FC-075B70D41D66.jpeg

I’ve been working on putting a couple DCOEs on my ‘64 Tempest. Hoping to fire it up soon.

Man, I thought you guys might have some cool stuff but you exceeded my expectations! There is some really "outside of the box" builders lurking out there and I think that is super cool. Keep 'em coming!

  13. Factory stock 1960 348 tri power in my 34 truck with correct carbs. Runs good sitting in the garage but I don't know how it runs on the street because I have never had the truck out of the garage since I broke in the cam...I got distracted into building a C2 Corvette and just abandoned it...

My 32 Roadster with 3 x 2GC Rochesters. Changed those red plastic lines later for high quality black fuel hose. Didn't want any fires. On a genuine '65 327

Three different sets on my 250 inline six.
Twin Rochester Mono-jets, ran great at full throttle, drove ok, sucked enough gas you could almost see the needle moving.
Three Rochester Model-H ( Corvair ) , could jet to run around or for full throttle, could not have both. Looked cool though!
Twin Carter W-1s, best set up I have had. Runs better then stock, 21 mpg @ 65 mph! No adjustments needed since dialed in.

coupe on road.jpg You guys have cool stuff, I love lots of carbs. Because the kids won't remember the time you got 42 miles per gallon.
I have 8 94's on my hot rod, and they all work. The intake manifold is an Edelbrock X3. So far, it has gone 137 mph in the 1/4. There is more in it. Edelbrock only made 15 X3's with 8 carbs, all the rest had 6. Vic senior developed this for SK boat racing while he was dying of cancer. It was his swan song.

Go to the Inliners International Facebook page. My son posts there with the engine at 2200 for 25 minutes. It idles at 700 on all 3 carbs ans can take just the center or all 3 off idle. He also has a short video of the exhaust sound at the tail pipes. We're are looking to remove the el fan going to just mechanical and a shroud. Progressive carb linkage is my next job on the list.
