Art & Inspiration ****friday art show(it's nearly friday here!!)***

Here is what i spendt the last weeks on. Painting my bike. Idid all wrong, but it came out kool

First of all i used a paintbrush with to small nossle. It clogged with flake every 10 sec. Then i had a to small air compressor with low pressure.
And everything was painted out in the backyard.
I watersanded everything down and mixed a basecolour close tho the flake, then mixed flake with clear and sprayed it so it nearly coverd all the base. hard work with to low pressure.Then it was time for the clearcoat. I think i layed about 6 or 7 coats, waited 15min and a beer between coats.
When i was pissed and all the big norwegian moscitos turn up and went kamikaze in the paint it was time to take the things inside to dry and sober up.

 

FLAKE part 2... Now to the fun part... after sanding everyting down and spraying 2 more coats it was time for some stiping and scallops.
I painted the scallops in silver base. then did some "magic" with a plastic bag and some water using black base. Then i coverd everything with Tangerine Candy. The fenders was striped with a light green metallic base and then clearcoated. The scallops was then striped with purple. And i did some lettering on the gastank. This was my second Flake job and all i can say is
Flake is soooo koool.
